It’s no surprise why Snapchat is one of social media’s most popular tools during live music events. The ability to record and share footage in real time to friends all across the globe is one of the ways that Snapchat exploded in popularity over the last few years.
With two of the biggest music festivals in the country taking place in the next ten days or so it’s no surprise to hear that Snapchat is taking extra steps to make sure festival-goers at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas are able to share all of their great moments. This year, fans around Bonnaroo’s Great Stage Park and the Las Vegas Speedway will be able to submit their snaps to the collective ‘Our Story’ tab. From there, Snapchat will curate all snaps and allow some to viewed in the Snapchat Discover feature of the app.
Bonnaroo’s ‘Our Story’ will launch tomorrow and be made available to all Snapchat users across the United States. EDC’s coverage will start with a “Road to…EDC Vegas” ‘Our Story’ on Thursday the 15th before the full EDC ‘Our Story’ kicks off for the full weekend from June 16th to 18th. And of course, festival-related filters will be available at both festivals so expect to see some awesome festival-themed snaps from your friends in attendance over the next week or so!
