Kygo Announces Documentary “Stole The Show” On Apple Music

in EDM News, Featured

It seems every DJ has a documentary these days… Diplo, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix & Carl Cox, Hardwell, Skrillex, the list goes on. And now, we can add Kygo to that list with his forthcoming documentary “Stole The Show.”

The documentary will release July 26 via Apple Music, featuring testimonials from his manager, Myles Shear, and DJ friends Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, and even Bono.

Speaking on the documentary, Kygo stated, “Can’t wait for everyone to see what really goes on behind the scenes! It’s exciting showing people the journey that I’ve been on up until this point in my career.”

From the trailer, the documentary seems to be focused more on Kygo’s fame than his rise to it – that is to say, there really isn’t much footage shown in the trailer from any shows that weren’t sold out. That could definitely be by design, though.

The trailer ends on a quote from Garrix, stating, “He’s so much bigger than EDM. He’s Kygo.”

The press release for the documentary also states that fans can expect Kygo’s sophomore album to be out later this year.

“Stole The Show” is out next Wednesday, July 26.
