The Prodigy is undergoing a serious change to its electronic band and especially its live performances!

While the OG trio Liam Howlett, Keith Flint, and Maxim will continue the project, guitarist Rob Holliday is parting ways. He’s been rocking with The Prodigy since 2005, and it’s hard to tell at this point why the change of heart. In the band’s official announcement below, they offer the guitarist “respect” and “luck” on his next adventure.

Some fans are put off by the change, but others have come to terms, or even expressed their interest in three of the original member returning to their roots. Overall, he will be deeply missed by fans.

As of now, it’s unclear if The Prodigy is seeking to replace its guitarist.

The Prodigy is only set to perform one upcoming show at Bilbao Festival in Bilbao, Spain per the band’s website… So, we’ll see how Holliday’s absence plays out.
