This New Wine Claims It Comes Without The Hangover

Tis the season for excessive holiday drinking — and Lidl Prosecco has our backs this time around!

The brand’s Organic Prosecco Spumante is supposedly the answer to our hangovers. And priced at just £7.99 per bottle, it’s definitely worth the try.

Organic Prosecco Spumante has fewer sulphites, which have been linked to those all too familiar hangovers.

“We’ve all had that shocking wine hangover. This is sometimes attributed to the sulphite preservatives used in wine to keep them fresher for longer,” Lidl’s master of wine Richard Bampfield explains.

“Generally, organic wine producers use a lower level of sulphites in the production process, which means they are less likely to contribute to hangovers. So if you don’t react well to sulphites you could be saying good riddance to hangovers with Lidl’s Organic Prosecco Spumante.”

The wine, which hits shelves this Friday and is expected to sell out before the holidays — would be a true Christmas miracle if it actually works.
