Armin van Buuren is the First Artist to Ever DJ Upside Down [Video]

The world records and first-time achievements for EDM are getting better and better. We’ve seen DJs perform marathon sets and from atop the Eiffel Tower, but no DJ has ever performed upside down…until now.

Armin van Buuren has become the first DJ to ever perform upside down, thanks to an incredible stage design at the Vreiden van Amstel event series in Amsterdam. The 14-day event brought together a number of the Netherlands’ biggest stars, including Armin. Armin played four different times over the 14-day event, including inside a revolving stage that turned him upside down as he performed. Armin had to prepare and train to play on the stage, which is capable of moving in numerous directions and across a crowd—similar to Kanye West‘s floating stage design from his Saint Pablo Tour.
