This is one of the funniest run-ins between an artist, fans, and paparazzi we’ve ever seen! In newly released footage, Andrew Taggart of The Chainsmokers is mistaken as pop star Liam Payne outside of an establishment in West Hollywood.
The best part? As he poses for selfies, he doesn’t correct anyone on his true identity.
As chatter in the crowd would suggest, we’re looking at a former member of One Direction. At one point, Andrew jokes that his other half Alex Pall is none other than Harry Styles, another 1D heartthrob.
“Hey is One Direction ever going to get back together?” the camera man asks. He may be just playing along, but it’s hilarious either way.
Then things start getting out of hand, as names like Justin Timberlake and Migos are thrown around. We’re obviously dealing with The Chainsmokers here. At least one guy gets it as he takes a selfie.
