Kanye West Opens Up About The True Meaning Behind His New Album ‘Ye’ [WATCH]

At this point in his career, Kanye West is pretty much an open book. If you don’t hear it in his verses, you’ll hear it straight from the source via his Twitter account or from the press.

With the drop of his new record ye, Kanye West invited a bunch of people out to his album launch party in Wyoming and he got really real with them. The rapper wanted to bring close friends, family and others from the music industry to the place where he made the album as he played it out publicly for the first time.

As for why he believed everyone showed up, to the middle of nowhere, Wyoming, on such short notice — “that’s love,” Kanye said. He opened up about the concept of the album, amongst other things.

“I belive ye is the most commonly used word in the Bible. In the Bible it means you. So, I’m you. And I’m us. It’s us. It went from being Kanye, which means the only one to just ye, just being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confused — everything. It’s more of a reflection of who we are as beings.”

The living legend discusses a lot of various topics with Big Boy TV, including studio time, his celebrity status, the “slavery is a choice” controversy, his mental state, blessings in his life, and so much more.
