Broward County Sheriff’s Department shared that XXXtentacion has been officially pronounced dead.
Earlier today, XXXtentacion was shot in his vehicle in Deerfield Beach, about 40 miles north of Miami in Florida. He was reportedly shopping for motorcycles when an unknown assailant ran up and shot him in his car. He was transported to a hospital nearby, where he’s since passed away.

The report first came in at 3:57pm local time. Broward Co. Sheriff’s Dept. called the incident a possible driveby in a dispatch communication. TMZ reports that the “suspects were described as 2 black males wearing hoodies, and the shooter was wearing a red mask.
“The car has been confirmed as a black Dodge Journey, with dark tint and black wheels.”
XXX has still not been mentioned by name by the Broward Co. Sheriff’s Dept., at least not on Twitter, but the timing of the reports and eyewitness accounts of the shooting match.
