With the legalization of marijuana occurring in many US states, people have wondered when music festivals would begin incorporating 420-friendly events. State laws and regulations likely make it complicated, but one music festival has rolled out a 420-friendly experience: Outside Lands.

Outside Lands has announced the Grass Lands experience, coming to the festival when it takes place in San Francisco in August. Grass Lands marks the first time a major US music festival has hosted a 420-friendly event of this scale. The 21+ experience will be held south of the Polo Field at the Golden Gate Park and will include a wide variety of vendors.

Grass Lands vendors will unable to sell products with THC, nor will attendees be able to consume or use such products on the festival grounds. Instead, Grass Lands is being held to educate attendees about the benefits of THC, CBD and other marijuana products. Attendees will be able to smell different strains of marijuana at the Smell Wall, learn from so-called “budtenders” at The Greenhouse and enjoy a farmers’ market among other activities.

Outside Land attendees, you all are a lucky bunch. Head to the OSL website to learn more details.
