Apple Music just launched a new playlist feature called “Shazam Discovery,” perfect for finding the freshest new music out there.
The playlist highlights the 50 top “up-and-coming songs from breaking artists,” available now and updated weekly, thanks to Shazams from around the world. Songs on the Shazam Discovery playlist are either growing rapidly, steadily and/or geographically. The algorithm looks at music from a unique, predictive perspective, exposing which artists and songs are on the come up.
Apple Music describes Shazam Discovery as follows:
Want to be ahead of the curve? The global Shazam Discovery Top 50, powered by Shazams from around the world and updated once a week, complies up-and-coming songs from breaking artists. If you hear a song you like, add it to your library.
Right now, Ohana Bam, A$ton Wyld, Tones and I, Regard and Y2K & bbno$ are among the top 5.
