Are you ready for some classic rave vibes? Nicky Romero and Timmy Trumpet have you covered with their newest track, “Falling.” Combining the best elements of both artists’ styles, “Falling” is heavy on the synth melodies whilst playing out an addictive 138 BPM. Expect this track to be a staple on the festival circuit for both of these iconic artists.
“Falling” is built on classic rave elements — a broody male vocal, some piano chords and reverb, before anthemic synths take over along with the beat. I can just picture Timmy dancing on the stage while some CO2 cannons go off while listening to the song. While the track borrows elements from both artists’ styles, I would say it’s more like 60-40 Nicky Romero to Timmy Trumpet. The synths and melody definitely seem like they’re the Dutchman’s doing, but that 138 BPM and the energy in the drop has Timmy Trumpet’s fingerprints all over it.
Nicky Romero is off to a hot start in 2020, having already released two tracks: the rave friendly “I See” and the more radio friendly “Stay.” Timmy Trumpet also keeps the festival vibes going with this one, as he’s fresh off “The Anthem (Der Alte)” with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, another track you’re sure to hear on the festival circuit.
You can get tickets to see Nicky Romero at Time Nightclub in Costa Mesa, CA here. Otherwise, he’ll be playing at EDC Las Vegas and TomorrowLand. Timmy Trumpet will be hitting the road in support of Steve Aoki on his Neon Future IV tour for select dates. Get your tickets here.
