Australian trance producer MaRLo is back with his latest single “No Other Alternative,” and it is an old school raver’s dream. Featuring space-y loops, a raucous vocal chant, and an energetic psy-trance drop, “No Other Alternative” is the perfect track to welcome ravers back to dancefloors around the world.
The track opens with the afore-mentioned loops. From there the vocal refrain comes in, “There is no other alternative.” At that point you know you have no choice but to give in to the beat. In fact, the drums do come in there to build up, and from there we get a massive psy-trance drop. Some of those super rave-y synth notes play over the massive bassline to wrap up the first drop. The second part of the song features a dark, melodic synth-line that harkens back to songs like “Sandstorm.” You will absolutely be feeling it and putting your hands in the air when this one drops.
MaRLo says of “No Other Alternative”, “I always felt this melody was incredible and has the type of energy in it that makes you want to crank the volume as loud as it can go. I wanted the beat to match that same sort of power. ”
