HUGEL is having a serious moment right now. ‘Movin’ To The Sun,’ his collaboration with Imael Angel and house legend Ultra Naté, has climbed to the top of Shazam’s global chart, capping off a viral run that’s been building for weeks. The track is pulled from HUGEL’s debut studio album Twenty One, released via his own label imprint, Make The Girls Dance Records.
The rise hasn’t come out of nowhere. The single has already held the #1 spot on Beatport for five straight weeks and topped the iTunes/Apple Music Electronic chart, while racking up more than 22 million streams and a 66.9 million playlist reach along the way. It’s also picked up serious traction on TikTok, where fan edits and dance clips have helped push it into the UK’s Official Charts as a fresh new entry, a rare crossover for a house record built around Naté’s unmistakable vocal and Angel’s rising presence.
For HUGEL, it marks a milestone moment in what’s already been a defining year, following a Coachella debut and the launch of his summer Movin’ To The Sun tour, and cements the track as one of the breakout dance records of the summer.
