mölly Previews Debut Album 22 With New Collaboration ‘feeling something’ Alongside OCULA & Richard Walters

California-based producer mölly is inching closer to her debut album 22, due out this August, and she’s marking the run-up with another emotionally driven single. ‘feeling something’, out today, July 24 on Colorize, brings together melodic house favourite OCULA and singer-songwriter Richard Walters, continuing the vulnerable, narrative-heavy songwriting mölly has built her sound around. The track came together early in the album process, written and recorded with Walters in London, with mölly noting that handing the record over to OCULA for production gave the song new life at a point when she’d been stuck on it.

Sonically, the track builds slowly, pairing delicate synth work and organic, analogue-leaning textures with Walters‘ vocal, which carries the song into full melodic house territory by its close. It follows recent singles ‘edges’ with FARLEY and ‘transmission’ with Mees Salomé, and continues to explore themes of vulnerability and connection that have defined mölly’s catalogue so far. OCULA brings serious credentials to the pairing,  having broken through via releases on deadmau5’s mau5trap before becoming a mainstay on Lane 8’s This Never Happened imprint, he’s racked up more than 75 million career streams with output across Colorize, Armada, Anjunabeats, and Spinnin’ Deep. Walters, for his part, brings over a decade of work spanning indie pop and electronica, including collaborations with Bernard Butler, Noel Hogan, and Alison Moyet, along with music placements on shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, and Bones.

mölly’s own rise has been fast by any measure,  she only began releasing music in July 2024, and has since built a catalogue that’s crossed 20 million Spotify streams, with breakout single ‘Here Again’ alone pulling in over 4 million. She’s picked up support from artists including Nora En Pure, Sultan + Shepard, Above & Beyond, and Tritonal, landed heavy rotation on SiriusXM Chill, and shared stages with Lane 8, Kaskade, and Tiësto at events like Dreamstate, Elsewhere New York, and Amsterdam Dance Event.

With 22 nearly complete, ‘feeling something’ offers another window into an album that’s been built with clear intention, and reinforces mölly’s place as one of melodic electronic music’s most promising newer names.
