There’s a clear mood shift on Zuezeu’s new single ‘Weightless’, out now via Batty Records. After the darker, tension-driven feel of ‘GO’, this one opens things up, warm chords, steady percussion, and a hook that keeps returning to the same idea of wanting to get back to a moment when things felt simple. It’s built for daytime sets rather than the late-night grind, though the groove underneath still sounds unmistakably like his.
That sense of escape carries into the visuals, too. Zuezeu filmed the video in Hawaii and largely let the location do the work, coastline, water, volcanic terrain — instead of leaning on production tricks, which keeps the tone consistent with the track itself. The release also folds into Rockstars & Angels, a project he runs with Jaden Bojsen that pulls back the curtain on what a career in dance music actually looks like, from studio sessions to tour life, aimed at encouraging fans to pursue their own path in the industry.
Zuezeu has been building steadily since debuting in 2020, with stops across the U.S., Asia and Europe, a main stage set at EDC Las Vegas 2024, a sold-out Parq Nightclub headline in San Diego, and shows in Tokyo and Seoul among the highlights. That momentum has carried over into his output, too: his 2024 debut album More Life, along with singles like ‘Girl in the Club’, ‘Love Is the Rhythm’ and his ‘DNA (Loving You)’ remix, has steadily grown his presence across social platforms.
