Eric Prydz Kicks Off The Incredible EPIC 2.0 Tour

We here at Your EDM are dedicated to bringing you the latest in the industry. A representative of our company, Max Rudman went to Eric Prydz Presents EPIC 2.0 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Here is what he had to say:

Eric Prydz is on fire. With massive sets at Ultra Music Festival, EDC Las Vegas, and Coachella, his fan base has grown off the charts the last year. He has turned house heads everywhere into die hard Pryda fans, and I am guilty as charged. Eric Prydz is a particularly special DJ; he plays only his own music at shows. It takes some serious talent to play a 3 hour set and only play your own music, half of which is unreleased. Playing out the latest hit progressive house track is something you’ll never hear live from the man.

This weekend Eric went to New York City to start off his beloved tour EPIC, aka “Eric Prydz In Concert“. An event like none other I’ve experienced before. The amount of money spent on the hologram, 3d light show that he tours with for his EPIC shows must have been up there because it was incredible. He pulls you into a place that you’ll never want to leave between his live production and mixing.

Round one of his two night stand in NYC was unforgettable, but nothing will ever compare to the impeccable atmosphere of night two. The people were in an amazing mood, the positive vibes were flowing, the energy was stronger, and the anticipation was surreal. Everyone knew when Jeremy Olander/Fehrplay of “Pryda Friends” was opening up that tonight was going to be beyond epic.

We all buckled in for this incredible journey, for we were on our way to House heaven. The first hour of Eric’s set was mesmerizing and he was playing lots of his unreleased Pryda and Cirez D tracks. The energy was flowing up and down and he kept us all in shock with what was coming next. Eric’s new songs “Rotonda”, “Layers”, and “Thunderstuck”, were just a few of the hits he played early on in his set. The finale was waiting, and the transition to a heavy, extremely sensational ending was coming.

Eric closed his set with all the classics. Setting the mood for the last hour he played hits like “Power Drive” and “Personal Jesus”. No one wanted it to end. He kept the progressive hits of his coming, setting the room on fire in NYC. The last 30 minutes, he played “Every Day”, “You (Interlude)” and “Pjanoo”. The two encore songs were his M83 “Midnight City” remix and he closed the event with “Allein”. I will never forget this weekend, it was heaven.

If you have the chance to see Eric Prydz for his EPIC shows in LA or Chicago you have to go. Also, keep an eye out for him this winter, he will never let you down.
