Newly released on the Built On Glass album, Chet Faker‘s “1998” was quickly remixed and released for free by our friend Vonzie. He’s had a couple housey type tracks before, but this nu-disco edit may take the crown. Vonzie invokes powerful emotions through his charming composition whose commencement occurs with blissful piano chords. Always a good way to kick things off in my opinion! Especially if what is being led to is a feel-good chorus filled with a combination of synth stabs and arpeggios. If this doesn’t make you feel all warm inside, then you may want to head to a psychiatric doctor to be tested for being a sociopath. The feels are unreal. And after that second drop the envelope is sealed; Vonzie‘s cut is a musical masterstroke.
