Birdy – Skinny Love (Sebastian Carter Remix) [Atlantic Records]

Sebastian Carter pulled a huge remix for Birdy that came out on Atlantic Records yesterday. “Skinny Love” has been remixed before – his remix is joined by three others – but Sebastian’s sticks out in my mind because of its originality and extremely tasteful composition. Minimalists will cheer as loud as they can; this one is for the people that like to get completely lost in a piece of music. He’s managed to entice us with soft works before, but this takes the cake for “chill.” It’s the biggest subtle tune you are going to hear this season, I guarantee it.
