Pretty Pink has enchanted me with this mix of “Hey Girl.” Like, where do I begin? Starting with the fact that Ian Late contributed some quality vocals to the track is a good place. The song has a real indie vibe, formulating genres like deep house and nu-disco together to create something unimaginably beautiful. Chill too; it’s just what you need to calm yourself through the rest of this week until you continue to play this one out on the weekend. With its crisp percussion and masterful musicality, it’s easily one of my favorite songs of the month, and by the end of it, I bet it will still be at the top. I wasn’t too familiar with Pretty Pink’s music, but after hearing this production I ravaged through her discography for more. And more, I cannot wait for.
