Yesterday, the highly anticipated trailer to the DJ movie We Are Your Friends was released, and as expected, a lot of people weren’t happy. Many DJs and industry professionals made no hesitation to voice their opinions about the film. On a scale of 1 to bad idea, pretty much everyone agreed that We Are Your Friends fell somewhere between Armada releasing a Borgore track and Hardwell’s “Sally”. Just in case you missed it, we highlighted some of our favorite reactions to the trailer.

Every part of this We Are Your Friends trailer is 100% truth. Especially the part where I keep all my $$ in an Adidas shoe box

One producer sees a light at the end of the tunnel, though:
If I was 14 or 15 today and an aspiring DJ, I'd love a movie like We Are Your Friends. I can totally see that.

See, to me, it's only now that I see how mellow the original Karate Kid movie was. But as a kid it sure motivated me to take up Karate.

@LaidbackLuke couldn't agree more. Too many old ass DJs bitter that Hollywood/young generation are excited about DJing.
