With Excision teaming up with younger artist The Frim a while back to create ‘Night Shine’, the time has now come for a set of remixes to drop, also through Rottun Records. Remixing an already incredibly satisfying track could be considered a tough job, the but the four featured artists here make it look easy.
Up first is Bear Grillz, a rising talent who uses plenty of power and dynamics in his edit. Following on comes Apashe with his infectious and rhythmically charged trap edit, which provides a nice contrast to Dion Timmer’s furious dubstep rework. Blaynoise closes the EP with a weighty electro take on ‘Night Shine’, rounding off this display of unique production brilliantly.
