We Are Your Friends Movie Soundtrack Surges To Top Of Billboard Music Charts

With one of the weakest openings in movie history, We Are Your Friends may have a glimmer of good news. The soundtrack took an unexpected bump as it soared from the 10th spot to take number 1 on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart over the past week.

While the sudden jump on the charts can be partially attributed to the release of the movie, the soundtrack also features an all-star lineup which helped catapult the album to the very top.

Featuring the likes of Deorro, Lil Jon, Tchami and more, the soundtrack was actually the best part of the movie.

The cliché film received terrible reviews from almost all outlets but none were able to poke holes in the soundtrack which featured a mixture of big names and up and coming artists. Amongst the roster of artists was Gryffin, who helped carry the soundtrack with his “Desire” remix that was featured in the film.
