A man has reportedly died after falling from a well-known statue at a Parisian electronic dance music festival.
He lost his footing after climbing the monument at the Techno Parade event in north-eastern Paris, a statement said. The festival’s organizers were not aware of the incident until the event had finished, and promptly issued a statement offering condolences:
Almost 350,000 people attended the show and filled the streets resulting in some attendees climbing high places to get a better view. As you can see, the man who fell wasn’t the only one climbing the structure.
Civil Protection volunteers offered assistance to several sick and injured persons over the event. A statement reported the volunteers as instrumental in helping the fall victim’s ambulance evacuation.
Shockingly, there have even been reports claiming the crowd urged the man to climb higher.
