Sicarii may be a newcomer to the scene, but his name is already being thrown around with music heavyweights like Nicki Minaj and Maroon 5. The New York-based house maven is still in the nascency of his career, but he’s proving himself as one of dance music’s heaviest hitters after unveiling his official remix of Maroon 5’s “Sugar,” joining Nicki Minaj as the only other artist with an official remix of the track.
Sicarii’s remix first surfaced during his Billboard Hot 100 Fest set, where it was a tremendous hit. On his remix, Sicarii channels his Balearic influences, molding the track into a groovy, feel-good house anthem perfect for the infamous White Island. Warm pads come together with a bouncy four-to-the-floor backbone that bolsters Adam Levine’s stand-out vocals for a remix that was worthy of support from the iconic pop stars. Check it out below.
