For the second time today in as many minutes, I find myself finding a crazy tune on Soundcloud and feeling the need to tell all you fine people about it.
Cesqeaux’s original “Colossal” was a colossal hit, pardon the lame joke. Though it did not experience huge popular appeal, it’s a gigantic and infectious trap tune that should get ample play time at festivals this year. Cue Rawtek, who comes in and switches up a synth here, a drum there, and gives “Colossal” the face lift it deserves.
Rawtek makes it dirtier than a heroin addict’s needle after a hard day’s work, filling out the drop with grittier synths and heavier percussion, going just one step further.
