Don’t count Eminence out just yet. While the Canadian duo hasn’t had a Monstercat release since last July, they are back and stronger than ever… And with some friends. However, Eminence’s journey to success wasn’t an overnight deal. In fact, the duo was and is Monstercat’s longest running trance artist, accounting for 6 out of Monstercat’s 13 total trance releases (more than any other artist on the label).
Eminence has always deviated into house music, but a large majority of their recent releases have been progressive house, with the exception of their last Monstercat release, “Knock Me Out.” Their newest attempt “Night Goes On” continues one step further in the house direction, perhaps even with a more festival-esque sound than usual. In general, I think fans of Martin Garrix‘s more progressive work will be all over this one.
The track was co-produced Supermans Feinde, a German duo that typically focuses their production toward tropical/deep house, but deviated with “Night Goes On,” their first attempt at progressive house. The track is made all the better with a vocal appearance by the astounding Q’AILA, whose impressive vocals on “Here for You” by PIXL instantly converted me into a fan last December. Her appearance on “Night Goes On” is –in the same way– arguably one of her best.
