Back in March, we thought that Ellie Goulding had all but confirmed a new collaboration with Calvin Harris was on the way. Unfortunately, just the next month, Calvin Harris himself shot that down in an interview with Ryan Seacrest, saying only “half a song” had even really been done, and he wasn’t sure if it would amount to anything in the end.
Well on an episode of The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw, Ellie Goulding had a chance to text a question to Harris, namely, “Can you ask him when our next song is going to be ready/out?”
Goulding has apparently sent him a vocal, but there was no hook, and Harris said she needed to get back into the studio. 
Honestly, we’re really hoping this will they/won’t they collaboration will be over soon. We’re dying for the third Ellie/Calvin collaboration.
