New this week to YourEDM Records is a Chicago based artist by the name of SMIIRK. He began his musical journey after being inspired by seeing Deadmau5 perform at Lollapalooza 6 years ago. Fast forward to 2016, and SMIIRK found himself winning a DJ contest to perform at the very same festival, coming full circle.
SMIIRK’s latest single “Soulmates” is a genre blending tune that merges the line between catchy and progressive. With some beautiful Tropical elements layered over a Trap beat, an island vibe immediately comes to mind.
