Nero just announced a big change coming to the group — as vocalist Alana Watson takes a step back from performing to “soon” have a baby!

In a post on social media, along with an ultrasound photo, Nero said: “We’re pleased to announce that Alana will soon be having a baby. This means that she’ll be taking some time out from performing live for the rest of the year. She’s continuing to work in the studio and will be back on tour in 2018.”

She married bandmate Dan Stephens in 2015, but the bond between them and fellow member Joe Ray goes way back, as they’ve been performing together as Nero since 2004.

This announcement comes just a day before their Electric Forest performance in Rothbury, MI, and a handful of shows in July including a show at The International in Knoxville, TN, Bass Camp’s 5th Anniversary in Reno, NV, Electric Castle in Romania, Echostage in Washington, DC, and Global Dance Festival in Denver, CO.

Congrats, Alana!
