I used to think that the universal power of music truly brought people together, but now having seen this video I’m not so sure. Yesterday, President Donald J. Trump jetted to Paris, France to celebrate Bastille Day – the French equivalent of Independence Day.
While he was there, the President was treated to a rousing Daft Punk medley by a French marching military band highlighted by a particularly delightful covers of “Get Lucky,” “One More Time,” “Harder Better Faster Stronger,” and “Digital Love.” Unfortunately, while his French compatriot the newly elected President Emmanuel Macron seemed pretty enthused about the cover, POTUS didn’t seem so impressed.
Check out the full “Medley” below but skip ahead to 00:42 and once again at 02:36 to capture President Trump’s less-than-impressed reaction to a rousing “Get Lucky” cover.
That said, POTUS certainly remembered his manners sending the performers off with a hearty round of applause and even some whistling.
