Taylor Swift Sold More Albums In One Day Than Any Other Artist Did In A Week

Taylor Swift’s Electronic-Inspired “…Ready For It?” is Speculated to be About Calvin Harris and Others

It seems Taylor Swift is the only one capable of outdoing herself. The pop star has a big Reputation, and its earned her more sold copies in one day than any other album has made in an entire week this year.

Until now, Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. led the pack with 603,000 equivalent units sold in its first week, easily making way to Billboard’s Top 200. Taylor Swift’s sixth studio album Reputation, however, earned her a first day total of 717,000 equivalent units sold — according to Forbes.

At this rate, Swift will near 1 million copies sold within her first week, which could mark her biggest opening week yet. Reputation‘s numbers are even more impressive considering Taylor didn’t upload her full length album to any major music streaming platforms. For now, those who want to listen to Reputation have to actually purchase the album.

Reputation has the opportunity to gain even more steam, as Taylor just announced the first run of her huge stadium tour, starting in May and running into October 2018. Tickets go on sale to the general public December 13th (more info here).
