Mac Miller’s final studio album Swimming has seen a surge in success following the rapper’s unexpected death last Friday.
In the wake of his passing, fans seem to have found comfort in listening to the hip hop icon’s sprawling catalog of music. Swimming, released just last month, is clearly one of the go-to records as it recently shot to No. 1 for a short time on Apple Music.
Currently, the album sits at No. 2, behind Eminem’s Kamikaze. Songs including “Self Care,” “Ladders,” “Hurt Feelings” and “What’s the Use?” are amongst the most popular of the 13-track release.
At one point, the rapper had seven albums in the top 31 on Apple Music.
Miller’s body was discovered September 7, at his home in the San Fernando Valley. He suffered an apparent overdose and died at age 26.
His music lives on…
