Last week, G Jones announced a new EP, Tangential Zones, that would serve as the epilogue for his 2018 debut artist album, The Ineffable Truth. In the announcement, he also shared that the first single would be coming very soon — and sure enough, just 9 days later, “Dark Artifact” is here.
Sonically, “Dark Artifact” bears intense similarities to the music on The Ineffable Truth, but that doesn’t come as much of a surprise considering the EP’s designation as an epilogue. Still, the single is awash in the same wild sound design and chaotic rhythms that we’ve come to know and love G Jones for.
