I wasn’t aware that YouTube powerhouse Proximity has expanded and was now releasing tracks as a record label till now, but if they keep releasing tracks like this single by DROPOUT I’m fairly certain the entire world will soon take notice.
While DROPOUT isn’t your typical EDM production duo, they fall somewhere in between indie and electropop, the electronic music influences are undeniable in their production. “Hollywood Horror” features gritty lyrical content to go alongside dark pop influences with a trap inspired drop to tie it all together.
You could be like me and spend 10 minutes wrestling with yourself eternally trying to figure out how to classify such a unique track OR you could do what I should have done which is lie back, close my eyes and revel in Dropout’s smoky vocals.
