John Martin is having one of the biggest stretches of his career, and Timmy Trumpet is capitalising on it. The Australian DJ has confirmed a new album built around four collaborations with the Swedish vocalist, whose voice has become one of the most recognisable in dance music thanks to his work on Swedish House Mafia staples like ‘Save the World’ and ‘Don’t You Worry Child’. This isn’t the pair’s first outing together either — they linked up earlier this year on ‘All My Life’, a preview of the chemistry now driving a full project.
The timing lines up well for both artists. Martin recently featured on David Guetta and Third Party’s ‘Human’, released via Tomorrowland Music, adding another high-profile credit to a résumé that already includes Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash’s ‘Reload’ and newer Swedish House Mafia output under the Superhuman name. Timmy Trumpet, meanwhile, closed out Tomorrowland’s Weekend 2 on the Freedom Stage with a set that pushed from big room into hardstyle, a sound direction that’s increasingly defined his sets over the past few years.
Album title, tracklist, and release date are all still under wraps, but four Martin features on one record is enough to make this among the more anticipated dance releases still to come this year.
