Martin Garrix‘s set at Ultra Music Festival this year was one of the best of the weekend, and featured almost entirely new music from the Dutchman… or should I say Dutch-kid.
With so many unreleased tunes, it was just a matter of time before we received more details regarding the collaborators involved, as well as stream-able previews cut from the set. One of Martin Garrix’s new tracks surprised us as a more traditional festival banger, however; a collaboration with David Guetta that brings elements of both big room and french house. Announced back in January, this collab is expected to be one of the less-favored of his upcoming releases. David Guetta’s growing notoriety for supposedly pre-recorded sets and his infamous gaze into the wide blue yonder at Tomorrowland peg him as a target for ridicule among EDM fans.
As Garrix was just beginning to return to a more progressive sound, we hope this will stand alone among tracks like “Don’t Look Down” and “Forbidden Voices.”
