Audien Finally Unveils Full Country Music Collab [Astralwerks]

It was previously reported that progressive heavyweight Audien was in the studio with country stars Lady Antebellum. This may not come as a surprise to many, as EDM and country music have come up with some interesting projects in recent years (Avicii and Keith Urban/Nile Rodgers immediately come to mind). “Something Better” is no exception to this, and while this song has minimal elements of country-music, it flawlessly showcases elements of both artists’ musical talents.

“Something Better” can be seen more as an electronic track, as it seems Lady Antebellum’s main contribution was vocal work. They really nail it though, providing beautiful melodies over Audien’s production. Simple chords back Lady Antebellum’s singing, leading into a drop that will surely please the progressive ear. The lack of country influence is a perfect example of electronic music’s popularity, as big name country celebrities were willing to spend hours in the studio to put out a progressive-house anthem.

Check out the full collab below or stream on Spotify!
