A State of Trance is one of the most consistent labels in trance, putting out instant classics from all across the globe. Their newest artist, Farhad Mahdavi, hails from Iran, and his debut single on the ASOT imprint proves the label truly looks everywhere for the best in trance. “Warsaw” is a massive tune, never failing to deliver on sound and emotion.
“Warsaw” is a high-energy song, full of pounding kicks and atmospheric synths. The interlude features a beautiful orchestral piece, backed by a soft choir of voices; this really gets the emotions going. The build and climax are both very reminiscent of Tiesto’s “Elements of Life,” drawing similar chord progressions. It was pulled off well, as it doesn’t sound like a copy and still pays homage to a trance classic.
