Lost Kings Release First Original Track “Bad” [Spinnin’]

This is one of those times where “Bad” means really, really good.

Lost Kings took The Chainsmokers approach to producing. They spent the past year racking up millions of plays on Soundcloud by remixing everything, from DJs like Dirty South and Oliver Heldens to bands like The Killers and Imagine Dragons. Coincidentally enough, they were picked up by Disruptor Management, who also handle The Chainsmokers, and continued to rise, racking up a playlist of Hype Machine #1’s for their groovy house tunes. Today, they release their first original track, “Bad,” on one of the biggest dance labels Spinnin’ Records.

If you’ve been obsessively stalking following Lost Kings over the past year, then you know before pushing play that “Bad” achieves everything you might have expected from them and more. The track has a retro R&B vibe, made more poignant by vocals from Jessame, but still fits in today’s house soundscape. All around, Lost Kings’ debut is a stunning addition to their already impressive repertoire, but with their first original track under their belt, it’s all uphill from here.

“Bad” ft. Jessame is out now on Spinnn’ Records.
