As the Mad Decent cruise ship slowly makes its way back to port in Miami following the still incomplete search and rescue mission of Kaylyn Rose Sommer, DJ/producer Oliver Heldens has reached out to his fans for an announcement. Because their stop in Mexico has been cancelled, he will be unable to travel to southern California in time for his set at the Fox Theater in Pomona tonight.
“Hi guys, due to the really sad incident aboard Mad Decent Boat Party yesterday the ship was unable to dock in Mexico today as planned by orders of the US Coast Guard, so I cannot currently get off the boat and will not make the show tonight at Fox Theater in Pomona, but we already have arranged a new date for February 20, 2016 with them for everyone who was going to attend. I want to wish my sympathies to those affected by yesterday’s event.”
In the wake of the night’s tragedy, artists and attendees alike are keeping those affected in their thoughts while they attempt to make the best of the situation. Sam Feldt expressed his own concerns yesterday upon hearing the news.
Its dark outside too. Praying they find her in time..

Thus far, the US Coast Guard and assisting units have been unsuccessful in discovering the missing woman. 24 hours have now passed since the ship made the initial emergency call.
