Fear Factor Producer In Talks To Purchase ID&T

Though you might not know his name, John de Mol has made a name for himself in a variety of multimedia conglomerates the world over. His credits include The Voice, Fear Factor, and Big Brother, and he was also the “owner of music publisher Talpa Music, whose clients included Tiesto, Afrojack, Laidback Luke, and many more.” Now, de Mol is using his vast influence and accrued wealth to turn his eyes toward a bigger fish: ID&T.

The Mysterland promoter that was purchased by SFX in 2013 has been an object of focus as SFX Entertainment continues to circle the drain. de Mol has reportedly been in discussion with Q-dance founder Wouter Tavecchio and ID&T lawyer Bas Meijer to acquire the subsidiary as SFX rushes to regain capital.

Quote points out that many interested investors will wait until the final bell tolls for SFX and it declares bankruptcy before pouncing on any assets, as everything will be even cheaper at that point.
