In the past year Southern Ontario (and by that I really mean Toronto) has seen new festivals such as Ever After Music Festival, WayHome Music Festival, and Bestival Toronto debut on its shores. While Wasaga Beach is a little farther from the bustling metropolitan Toronto area, its unique property as the longest freshwater beach in the world makes it the perfect location for the ‘hottest beach festival in all of Canada’ which will debut in late August.
The Monster Energy Center of Gravity Festival has always been a Kelowna, BC staple, but now it looks ready to make its debut in Southern Ontario August 19th, 20th, and 21st this year. While no musical details have been announced just yet, it’s older sister 2016 iteration in Kelowna (which only takes place a month before in July) boasts Skrillex, Ice Cube, Afrojack, Machine Gun Kelly, and more as headliners so fans beyond the EDM realm should be excited.
In addition to the music on hand, Center of Gravity also boasts an impressive display of 400 athletes who will be competing in sports such as beach volleyball, beach dodgeball, wakeboarding, freestyle motocross, skateboarding, and BMX.
Tickets are not yet available, but keep your ears to the ground for a lineup tease in the days to come.
