Behind The Scenes Of Skrillex & Hundred Waters’ Televised Performance

Skrillex, Chance The Rapper & Hundred Waters Kick It On “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert”

The origin of Hundred Waters’ “Show Me Love” collaboration with Skrillex and Chance The Rapper is one wound deeply in emotion and spontaneity. Now, following a live performance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, NEST HQ has released a behind the scenes video documenting how the track came together.

Originally written by Hundred Waters’ Nicole Miglis as a reminder of what’s beautiful, Skrillex got a hold of the lyrics and sent over a backing to the track, marking his first involvement with the band’s musical efforts. But after that, the track snowballed into a project larger than any of them anticipated.

Grammy nominee Robin Hannibal offered his own string arrangement to the piece, then Chance The Rapper stepped in with a hip-hop perspective, and Incubus’ Mike Einziger further sculpted the track’s live arrangement. Have a look below at all the love that went into making this gorgeous piece of music, and click here to watch the full performance.
