When Skrillex was announced as the support act for one of the shows on the Guns N’ Roses reunion tour, reception was lukewarm, to say the least.
While the crowd was decidedly mild through the entirety of Skrillex’ set – which he worked on for a full week on mind you – both artists probably won’t be too disturbed when Billboard‘s Boxscore revealed that that single show earned over $6 million dollars (gross sales).
The precise box-office payout came to $6,166,657, some of which will need to be divvied among managers, artists, etc. but it’s more than likely that they all recouped a fair bit more from merchandise sales.
