Incubus’ New Album, Co-Produced By Skrillex, Is Out Now

Incubus’ Brandon Boyd Describes Working With Skrillex In The Studio

You’d never think an EDM site would be covering the new album by Incubus, and you’re right — on normal conditions, we totally wouldn’t. But it just so happens that their new album 8 was entirely co-produced by our very own Skrillex.

The album has been on everyone’s radar since February, when we learned that Skrillex was going to have an apparent collaboration on the album. We’ve since learned that he’s more involved in the production and mixing of the album, and has had a hand in basically all of it.

While this album is objectively not EDM, we know that a significant portion of the EDM community grew up listening to Incubus and can still find enjoyment knowing that one of our most celebrated producers helped in the creation of this album. You might hear some more electronic influence on “Loneliest,” for example.
