Cash Cash‘s set at Spring Awakening Music Festival popped off over the weekend, but not without a pretty large hiccup. The crowd was loving every bit of it, but the show was missing one important detail — the VIP section.

When you’re in GA, you don’t really give a flying f*ck about what goes on in those boujee hot spots. But, when you’re VIP, you expect to get what you pay for. Unfortunately, the VIP section was unexpectedly cleared out during Cash Cash’s set and fans were being turned away at the access point. So what gives?

Apparently word got around that the EDM group was shooting a music video and they needed the section completely clear. Although that wasn’t the case at all, it was believed to be true in the heat of the moment. Loyal fans were extremely put off by the blocked viewing area and some even bounced to go to other stages. Later on, they took to Twitter to complain about the issue.

That’s when Cash Cash were able to step in and clear things up. Spring Awakening also chimed in that the real reason for the closure was actually due to a “security safety concern.” Which, is totally understandable because safety comes first. It’s unclear where the lines got crossed, but mistakes indeed happen.

At the end of the day, anyone who really wanted to catch their set could have watched from GA with all the other people. It’s not a big deal (imo).

Regardless of the circumstances, Cash Cash were extremely bummed to hear their fans left disappointed. So, they extended an invite to their after party. We heard that show was wild, too — so hopefully all is forgiven!

Would you be mad if you were denied VIP access during your favorite DJ’s set?
