Kayoh Stuns With Surprise Remix of Deadmau5’s Iconic “Strobe”

It was already hard enough to accept when mau5trap decided to release an entire remix pack for “Strobe” last year, and you’d think that would make seeing “Strobe” remixes appear in my inbox a little easier… but it didn’t. When I received this remix of “Strobe” from Kayoh, I was understandably skeptical.

However, upon actually listening to the piece, I was truly blown away. With impeccable sound design and a creative approach to the original that I’ve never heard, Kayoh hit the nail on the head with this one. The second drop definitely takes a more melodic approach, using more of the original sound and building on it with a four-on-the-floor beat while keeping the creativity stoked.

While I didn’t expect to be writing up a “Strobe” remix today, after listening to Kayoh’s, I certainly don’t have a problem with it. Check it out below.
